An F-4U Corsair, piloted by Dan Friedken, idles at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., Nov. 8, 2010, as part of a heritage celebration for Marine Attack Squadron 214. The aircraft is the only flying F-4U painted with World War II-style Blacksheep markings. The Corsair, along with an A-4 Skyhawk and AV-8B Harrier flew in a heritage flight over the Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range and the station, and were displayed near the squadron’s hangar during the heritage day festivities. The Blacksheep piloted the Corsair throughout World War II gaining both the squadron and aircraft recognition across the globe.
