 Base Access

Marine Corps Air Station Yuma has implemented policies that focus on access control procedure to ensure the protection of Active Duty Personnel, residents, and civilian employees. These policies are intended to help Marines and Sailors accomplish their mission and keep families on MCAS Yuma safe, while allowing access to authorized personnel and visitors.

 

 Sponsoring a Visitor/ Multiple Visitors

The Marine Corps Air Station Pass and Registration Office is located in Bldg 952, adjacent to the Main Gate.

Business hours are currently 6:00 am -3:30 pm Mon - Fri.

The Pass and Registration Office is intended to process visitors who have not been otherwise sponsored by base personnel, or those visitors who have arrived, but their regular sponsorship is pending processing.

Whenever possible, please continue to sponsor your visitors using the Visitor Access Request Form. Please follow the below guidelines when submitting your request.

When sponsoring visitors electronically using your MCEN (usmc.mil) account, please assist the Pass and Registration Office by submitting your visitor's information per the following guidelines.

1. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID STATE ISSUED I.D. / DRIVERS LICENSE.

2. FOREIGN NATIONALS MUST PROVIDE PASSPORT I.D. NUMBER.

3. Submit at least 7 business days before their visit. Please keep in mind that the Pass and Registration Office is closed on weekends.

4. If you have 1 guest, please use the Visitor Access Request Form.

5. If you have more than 1 guest for the same event/reason, please email MCAS_YUMA-Visitor_Access@usmc.mil and provide the Visitor Access Request Form and

Multiple Visitor Submission Document.

6. If you have questions please call the following numbers for assistance:(928) 269-2854 / 5317 / 5313.

7. All submissions must be sent to: MCAS_YUMA-Visitor_Access@usmc.mil. from your MCEN (usmc.mil) account.

8. Use FOUO: SPONSORED VISITOR as the subject line of your email.

Following these guidelines will assist the Pass and Registration Office in processing your visitors as quickly as possible.

Please note that due to the volume of requests received, the Pass and Registration Office will not respond or confirm receipt unless there is an issue with the request or they need additional information. If you desire confirmation, please use the "Request a Delivery Receipt" or "Request a Read Receipt" function in Microsoft Outlook.

Submissions from non MCEN domains such as gmail.com or yahoo.com will be rejected, as we have no way to authenticate the identity of the sender.


 

                           

 

 Types of Access

Below are several forms of documents that may be used to gain access onto the air station. Depending on the document and purpose of your visit, the limitations of access to the base may vary. Remember: Entry on to MCAS Yuma is a privilege, not a right.

MCAS Yuma Access Card (MCASYAC)
The MCAS Yuma Access Card is principally issued to Department of Defense contractors who require regular access to the installation in excess of 30 days, but do not meet the criteria for issue of a CAC.

MCAS Yuma Personal Information Identification Form (MCASYPIIF)
The MCAS Yuma Personal Information Identificaiton Form is principally issued to DoD contractors who require access to the installation for 30 days or less.

Individuals in possession of a MCASYPIIF must also provide a valid state picture ID or valid state driver's license.

Access Roster
Visitors listed on an Access Roster for a specific event may be granted access until 30min after the scheduled end of the event.

Visitors listed on an Access Roster must present a valid state picture ID card or valid state driver's license.

Education Pass
A number of civilian colleges and universities maintain Educational Support Agreements with the installation, allowing institutions to conduct classes at the Education Center. Students who are not DoD-affiliated and require base access to attend these classes must register with the installation's Education Services Officer.

Education Passes allow an individual access from one hour prior to the scheduled beginning of class to one hour after the scheduled end of class on the days the class(es) are scheduled. Education Passes are non-transferable and authorize the student to travel to and from the education center only.

Students will be listed on an access roster and must go to the Pass and Registration Office to fill out a MCASYPIIF and obtain a temporary vehicle pass for the days and hours of the week of the class. Upon arrival at the gate, Students must present a valid state ID or valid state driver's license.

Trusted Travelers
Trusted Travelers may be sponsored by an individual who must be at least 18 years of age and possesses one of the following documents:
- Common Access Card (CAC)
- Uniformed Services Identification Card (DD Form 2)
- Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card (DD Form 1173)
- Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card (DD Form 1173-1)
- Department of Defense/Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card (DD Form 2765)

The sponsor must be present at the gate with their trusted traveler. The sponsor is authorized to escort no more than 7 trusted travelers aboard the installation and must escort their trusted travelers for the entire time.

Trusted Travelers must present one of the following valid forms of photo identification at the gate or if stopped by Military Police:
- State Drivers License
- State Identification Card
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. Passport Card
- U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card
- Personal Identifty Verification (PIV) Card
- Personal Identification Verification-Interoperable (PIV-V) Card
- U.S. State Department Driver's License
- Veterans' Health Identification Card
- U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551)
- U.S. Certificate of Naturalization or Certificate of Citizenship (Form N-550).
