Cpl. Steven Simon, Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron information technology technician, defends himself from a baton attack after being sprayed with OC, a form of pepper spray, Nov. 3, 2010. Approximately 20 Marines qualified to carry OC spray as part of their training for the station’s crisis management force, which augments military police here. “It teaches them through hands-on experience how (the enemy) can still fight through the pain of being sprayed,” said Staff Sgt. Jeffery Worley, military policeman.
