Six Marine Corps CH-46 helicopters land at Stoval Airfield, near Dateland, Ariz., Oct 9, 2010, to be refueled by the aircrew of a KC-130 Hercules aircraft during a training mission as part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor course. The course, hosted twice a year at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., by Marine Aviation and Weapons Tactics Squadron 1, trains Marine students from across the globe to return to their units as training officers versed in the latest aviation tactics and procedures. The Stoval Airfield is located within the Barry M. Goldwater Range in southwest Arizona. The versatile KC-130s are often used for aerial refueling of jets and helicopters, but can refuel from the ground as well.
