Cpl. James Doane, Marine Attack Squadron 214 airframes mechanic, puts the finishing touches on a tail design for the A-4L Skyhawk on display at the entrance to the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma Ariz., Oct. 8, 2010. The Skyhawk project, slated to be finished Oct. 14, 2010, took approximately three weeks to complete, with only three Marines working 10- to 12-hour shifts. “I think the coolest part is that it’s our artwork,” said Doane. "It’s rewarding, putting personal touches to a project that expands the legacy of the Blacksheep," added Lance Cpl. Seth Hobbs, VMA-214 airframes mechanic.
