Members of the military police special response team at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., take custody of Cpl. David Reames, station armorer, during Exercise Desert Fire, Sept. 21, 2010. During the exercise, Reames played the role of an active shooter in the station’s headquarters building before taking hostages and engaging SRT in a shootout. The exercise was designed to assess the station’s response to an active shooter situation.
