Lance Cpl. Forrest Mudge, Combat Logistics Company 16 welder, watches two Marines with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, from behind a rock Aug. 24, 2010, before a simulated ambush at the Wassuk Mountain Range approximately eight miles northwest of Hawthorne, Nev. The Wassuk’s are home to mountains reaching higher than 12,000 feet above sea level, some of which were used during the training. Thirty-two Yuma Marines supported 2/5 and infantrymen from 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, during the predeployment training.
