Sgt. Jay Parales, Combat Logistics Regiment 15 logistician, runs from Hexa, a military working dog from the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., as she prepares to bite him at the Barry M. Goldwater Range in Arizona July 15, 2010. Yuma military working dog handlers trained CLR-15’s security company on how to work with and employ military working dogs in a combat environment. The regiment is slated to deploy to Afghanistan in September 2010. “It was pretty intense,” said Parales. “That dog took me down like I was a little toy. It was a little scary, but it was fun.” CLR-15 is based at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
