Marines with 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, watch CH-53 Super Stallions land at Auxiliary Airfield 2, prior to beginning a helicopter-borne raid on a simulated insurgent camp in the Chocolate Mountains in California, May 3, 2010. Inserting in four different locations, via MV-22 Ospreys, CH-46 Sea Knights and CH-53 Super Stallions, Companies B and C, along with the Weapons Company, assaulted the camp with small-arms fire and rockets. Here supporting the current Weapons and Tactics Instructor course, the Camp Pendleton, Calif.-based unit is also training for a deployment early next year with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
