Lance Cpl. Michael Connor, Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 bulk fuel specialist, waits to refuel a Marine Attack Squadron 311 AV-8B Harrier as it taxis to the refueling point at the Auxiliary Airfield 2 in Yuma, Ariz., Jan. 25, 2010. AUX-2 is a replica of the deck of an amphibious assault ship, on which squadrons practice before working off of an actual ship at sea. The squadron started training at AUX-2 Jan. 26-28, 2010, in preparation for their carrier qualification aboard the USS Peleliu in February 2010. The squadron is scheduled to deploy to the Peleliu with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in May 2010. Part of the squadron deployed to Japan with the 31st MEU in early January 2010.
