Marines from Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 764 and other volunteers load toys onto one of the squadron's CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters at the Grand Canyon airport Dec. 15, 2009. The squadron flew into the canyon to bring toys and food to the village of the Havasupai, a Native American tribe living at the bottom of the canyon. The squadron flew into the canyon to bring toys and food to the village for the holidays. The next day, the squadron flew back down to the village to bring the guest of honor, Santa Claus, to the toy giveaway event. The reserve squadron, based at Edwards Air Force Base north of Los Angeles, has flown toys to the village's children for Christmas for the past 14 years.
