Ordnance technicians with Marine Attack Squadron 211 reload an AV-8B Harrier with Mark 82 bombs as part of a hot reloading exercise at the Yuma Proving Ground Dec. 9, 2009. Hot reloading requires personnel to secure live ordnance onto the aircraft while the aircraft is still running. The reloading was part of Exercise Prairie Fire, which had the Marines working as if they were on the airstrip of a forward operating base. “The purpose of these types of exercises is to prepare Marines for their next deployment,” said Capt. Timothy Hudson, squadron pilot. The squadron is based at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz.
