The troops are no different today than they were yesterday.” Ermey, an honorary gunnery sergeant, urged Marines to visit www.marinecause.org to sign a petition for a bill to change the title of the Department of the Navy to the Department of the Navy and Marine Corps. “If this passes, we’ll at least get an honorable mention along with the Navy,” he said. Col. Mark Werth, commanding officer of the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., presented Ermey with a tail rotor blade from a UH-1N Huey helicopter for his continued support of the Corps.
