Attendees at the endurance flight anniversary breakfast observe the historic plane, the City of Yuma, as well as an AV-8B Harrier from Marine Attack Squadron 211, Oct. 10, 2009, at the Yuma International Airport in Yuma, Ariz., during the 60th anniversary of the plane's record-breaking, 47-day nonstop flight. Woody Jongeward, one of the two City of Yuma endurance flight pilots, attended the anniversary breakfast as the guest of honor. The flight took place in 1949, several years after the Army closed its air base on the land that became the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz.
