Lance Cpl. Ian Willoughby, Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 avionics technician, kisses his wife, Laura, at hangar 101 at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., after returning home from a seven-month deployment Aug. 29, 2009. More than 20 MALS-13 Marines, along with approximately 60 Marine Attack Squadron 211 Marines, returned after serving aboard the USS Essex with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The MEU participated in several multinational training exercises, including Talisman Saber in Australia and Cobra Gold in Thailand.
