Marine Attack Squadron 311 ordnance technicians remove a 500-pound MK-82 general purpose bomb from an AV-8B Harrier on the flight line at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., Aug. 13, 2009. The squadron dropped approximately 30 tons of ordnance at the station’s ranges Aug. 10-13, which is several times more than the squadron typically uses in a week. Marine Aircraft Group 13’s four Harrier squadrons compete every year to see who can accurately drop the most ordnance over the course of an event dubbed "MAG War." However, since every other squadron just returned from deployment, is deployed or preparing to deploy, VMA-311 was the only squadron to participate this year.
