U.S. Marines assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 (MWSS-371) fly toward Forward Armored Refueling Point (FARP) - LZ Star in a MV-22B Osprey, Jan. 22, 2019. The bulk fuels specialists needed trasportation to FARP - LZ Star in order to set up light-weight camouflage screen systems (LCSS). The MV-22B is a tiltrotor aircraft with both vertical takoff and landing (VTOL), and short takeoff and landing capabilities (STOL) and is the primary assault support aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps. MCAS Yuma is a prime location to conduct military training with its variety of different training range; both foreign military units and all branches of the U.S. military that visit the air station utilize the ranges throughout the year.
