Col. James Wellons, the incoming commanding officer of Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, along with all former MAWTS-1 commanding officers, salute the colors during a change of command ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., Thursday, May 12, 2016. Taking command of MAWTS-1 entrusts the incoming commander to uphold the legacy of advanced tactical aviation training through the bi-annual Weapons and Tactics Instructors course; a massive undertaking involving thousands of Marines and equipment from all over the Marine Corps.
