The Drug Demand Reduction Program staff aboard Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., held an event for the youth center’s Substance Abuse Prevention Day, Friday, Aug. 22, 2014. The children attending were given presentations on the dangers of illegal drugs and the effects of alcohol and underage drinking. Immediately following the presentations, the children participated in activities while using goggles simulating the effects of alcohol. The children learned how alcohol affects simple tasks such as walking.
