Without a moment to spare, Marine Attack Squadron 311 Staff Sergeant Jennifer Blesi embraces her child on the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma flight line May 13 after a six deployment aboard the USS Peleliu in support of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Blesi served alongside approximately 2,400 Marines and Sailors as a part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group. The 15th MEU provides a forward deployed, flexible sea-based Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) capable of conducting amphibious Operations, crisis response and limited contingency operations, to include enabling the introduction of follow-on forces, and, designated special operations, in order to support the theater requirements of Geographic Combatant Commanders.
