Kenneth H. Stevenson, an 84-year-old veteran and Yuma, Ariz., resident, reflects back on his time on Iwo Jima as a platoon sergeant with the 27th Marine Regiment, 5th Marine Division in 1945. Stevenson, a Kelso, Wash., native, joined the Marine Corps in December 1941 and has been a part-time Yuma resident since 1986. Stevenson was honored at the Yuma Air Show, March 14, 2009, with a special baton from the U.S. Army John F.
