Pvt. Derek Burch, Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 heavy equipment mechanic and native of Salmon, Idaho, builds parts bins for the HE and motor transport maintenance shed at the Cannon Air Defense Complex Aug. 11. Burch is part of the squadron?s remain-behind platoon, a group of about a hundred Marines who could not deploy for various reasons. While the main body of the squadron has been in Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom II, the RBP moved the squadron?s base of operations to the complex, or P-111, and also performed their regular duties. - Pvt.
