U.S. Senator from Arizona, Kyrsten Sinema, visits Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, Ariz., August 21, 2019. Sen. Sinema met with the MCAS Yuma Commanding Officer, Col. David A. Suggs, and Sergeant Major, Sgt. Maj. David M. Leikwold, and the I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) Sgt. Maj., Sgt. Maj. James K. Porterfield. Sen. Sinema toured MCAS Yuma and spoke at a town hall meeting hosted by the air station at the station chapel. U.S. Marines currently assigned to the Military Working Dog (MWD) Team Deployment Training Course conduct their live fire training exercise with their MWD's on the Graze Range at Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), August 16, 2019. The exercise consists of familiarization and exposing the MWD's to gunfire and a series of drills where handlers proficiently engage targets while maintaining positive control of their MWD's.
