Marines from Company A, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, gear up on the flight line at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., just prior to beginning a long-distance night helicopter raid exercise Oct. 16, 2009. The company took off from Yuma in six CH-53s and two MV-22 Ospreys to seize an airfield and rescue an enemy defector and his family, as well as retrieve valuable communication equipment, at Fort Huachuca near Tucson, Ariz.
