Newly promoted U.S. Marine Corps corporals assigned to Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma Headquarters & Headquarters Squadron (H&HS) received their blood stripes during a Blood Stripe Ceremony in front of the H&HS building May 3, 2018. The blood stripe honors the blood that was shed by Marine officers and noncommissioned officers (NCO) during the Battle of Chapultepec in 1847.
