A Marine with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, based out of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, provides security at Kiwanis Park in Yuma, Ariz., during a Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HA/DR) Exercise hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One during the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course 1-17, Friday, October 14, 2016. The exercise was conducted to test and improve student capabilities to evaluate, plan and execute support to civilians impacted by conflict and/or natural disasters through a real-world scenario that requires quick reaction forces to extract U.S. and allied forces personnel from hostile environments.
