Priscilla Smith, Marine spouse, models a dress for the station’s second annual Operation Ball Gown giveaway at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., Oct. 7, 2009. Marine Corps Family Team Building coordinated the event, which is aimed at easing the costs for the Marine Corps birthday ball. Nearly 300 of the event’s 700 dresses were given away to military spouses and dates for the ball, while the remaining dresses were donated to several local charities, including the Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society and the Hospice of Yuma.
