RANGE SCHEDULING CONFERENCE ISO TRAINING IN THE MCAS YUMA RANGE
TRAINING COMPLEX
In order to facilitate a more effective and orderly process for the scheduling of range and
airspace across the Yuma Range Training Complex, MCAS Yuma Range Management
requests support and participation in a range scheduling conference. To make the range
scheduling process more efficient, MCAS Yuma Range Management will allow access to
RFMSS in excess of 60 days from 311500Z May 16 to 102330Z Jun 16 to allow units to
submit range requests for the R-2301W/R-2510/R-2512 from 011500Z Aug 16 through
212330Z Sep 16 and range requests for the R-2507N/S/E from 011500Z Sep 16 through
212330Z Sep 16. At 102330Z Jun 16 the scheduling window in RFMSS will close. Units
will have from 111500Z Jun 16 to 142330Z Jun 16 to confirm there are no conflicts with
requested range times. If there are conflicts, units are invited to participate in the next
range scheduling conference. If there are no conflicts with a units range scheduling
requests, unit participation is not required. The date for the range scheduling
conference is 171600Z Jun 16.

***ADVISORY*** The use of GBU-12 F/B IS NOT AUTHORIZED
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE within the MCAS Yuma Range and Training Area (RTA).
Any changes (weapons, co-use, times, etc), cancellations, or new
requests must be submitted in RFMSS no later than 1500 Yuma
local (always MST) Monday thru Thursday. For weekend and/or
holiday training, the deadline is 1400 Friday (or 1400 the
business day prior to the holiday). Requests made after these
deadlines "Will Not Be Approved" and will not be reflected on
the fire desk on the following day. StaO 3710.6J

R-2507 North:
R-2507 NORTH - Restriction - 1900Z June 9th until 2230Z June 15th, NO ORDNANCE OR
LASING AUTHORIZED SOUTH OF THE INERT LINE. This restriction is due to ground
personnel operating in an area south of the inert line, conducting ground operations. POC:
Mr. Veasey DSN 269-2214/5575, or Leg Iron 928-269-7080.
R-2507 North – Range Closure – June 29th – July 1st 2016 – The R-2507 North will be
closed during this period for range maintenance and target insert for Scorpion Fire 2A-16.
Due to personnel on the range and explosive operations taking place, there will be no
flights below 6,000 ft MSL. No ordnance and no laser operations will be authorized
throughout the closure. There will be target restrictions immediately following the
closure for the purpose of target preservation in support of the Scorpion Fire Exercise.
R-2507 North – Target Restrictions – July 2st – 8th 2016 – Due to target preservation
for Scorpion Fire, High Explosive (HE) ordnance delivery “Shall Not” be authorized
on targets 13N & 14N. All other targets within the R-2507 North will available for HE
ordnance in accordance with StaO 3710.6J. POC: Mr. Veasey DSN 269-5575.
R-2507 North – Target 15N Hazard – There are three permanent camera towers emplaced for
scoring/BDA. These towers are 60 feet AGL, UNLGTD, and at the following coordinates outside
the 15N polygon target area: TWR-1 -33°19’29”, -115°23’53”/ 11S PS 49104 88431, TWR-2
-33°18’00”, -115°24’30”/ 11S PS 48189 85676, TWR-3 33°18’21”, -115°23’37”/ 11S PS 49550
86343. All aviators are to proceed through this location with “CAUTION”. For additional

High Explosive Ordnance Deliveries - (air or indirect fire) are restricted to the hours of 0600-
2200 Pacific Time (California local time) for noise abatement purposes.

SWAT - 4 AREA:
R-2507 NORTH AT SWAT-4 Demolition Range (S-4-1) – 1500-1830Z June 17th, 2016
at MGRS 11S PS 41071 87329 or 33°18’57.13 N, 115°29’4.22 W an AVIATION HAZARD exists
within 5,000 ft. horizontally and below 5,000 ft. AGL due to high explosive detonations. This is
the maximum hazard potential associated with range S-4-1. For more information contact Leg

R-2507 NORTH AT SWAT-4 Demolition Range (S-4-1) – 0100-0600Z June 16th, 2016
at MGRS 11S PS 41071 87329 or 33°18’57.13 N, 115°29’4.22 W an AVIATION HAZARD exists
within 5,000 ft. horizontally and below 5,000 ft. AGL due to high explosive detonations. This is
the maximum hazard potential associated with range S-4-1. For more information contact Leg

R-2507 South:
R-2507 South – Range Closure – June 27th - 29th 2016 – The R-2507 South will be closed

Cactus West/Yodaville Scoring - "Standard times for Cactus West/Yodaville scoring services are
0800-1800 local AZ time Monday - Friday. Outside of standard hours units requesting scoring
must annotate their desire for scoring 24 hours in advance by typing "YES" in the "CW/YW SCORING"
block of their RFMSS request.
Within R-2301W - During the dates 15 March to 15 July in accordance with U.S. Fish and Wildlife
measures to protect the Sonoran pronghorn habitat, non-WTI aircraft flights shall remain west of the
113°53’W longitude line, or on designated transit routes, or above 1,000 ft. AGL (when flying east of
this line). Refer to, STAO 3710.6, Range Regulations, Section 4004.5 TACTS LOW, Para. 5 Special
Instructions, b.
R-2301 West – Cactus West/ UTC Yodaville - 30 MM MUNITIONS NOT AUTHORIZED IN THE

R-2301 WEST – CACTUS WEST – CACTUS WEST BULL’S-EYE - The Cactus West Bull’s-eye

R-2301 WEST – CACTUS WEST AIRSPACE – YODAVILLE URBAN TARGET COMPLEX
(UTC) **CLOSED** June 19th - July 12th, 2016 - There will be personnel and equipment within the
UTC performing operational range clearance and other construction activity. Remain clear 1,000 meters
radius and at or above 1000’ AGL of the center point of the UTC (MGRS 11S QR5085292094 or
N 32°26.26558', W114°19.91296'). NO ORDNANCE OR LASING AUTHORIZED. For additional

R-2301 West MTR – 1500Z June 23rd thru 0100Z June 24th 2016 at Munitions Treatment
Range located within the 2301W. EOD operations will have a VERTICAL HAZARD up to 2500
ft AGL and within 1000 meters radius of center point MGRS 11S QS 32970 00694,
Lat/Long N 32:31.149 W 114:31.187 WGS 84, approximately 9.5 nm southeast of MCAS
Yuma. EOD will be conducting training. POC Leg Iron 269-7080.

928-269-6488. Requests for this specific capability @ 15N/WISS AF must be coordinated no less than
30 days prior to the event and resources must be provided by the requesting Units/Squadron.
PARACHUTE OPERATIONS: TACTICAL DZ's/LZ's
Parachute and para-drop operations shall be conducted in designated DZ areas only as established and
approved by the Director, Range Operations Division via Range Plans Officer IAW AFI 13-217. A
TACTICAL DZ SURVEY is required and provided by Range Management/RANGE FUTURE PLANS OFFICER

Miss") Account (Web Based Range Scheduling System)
RFMSS Scheduling Times - Yuma Ranges, whether in California or Arizona are
scheduled in Yuma Local Time (Zulu -7). With that said, during Non-Daylight
Savings Time (Fall & Winter), Yuma is one hour a head of California Time.
During Daylights Savings Time (Spring & Summer), Yuma and California
are on the same time zone. Please adjust your requests in RFMSS accordingly.
Not taking this into account could cause a significant impact on your training.
