Cpl. Ryan Arnold, Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 heavy equipment operator, meets his girlfriend, Katie Froid, for the first time in person after returning to the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., from a deployment to Afghanistan, Sept. 7, 2009. The two began corresponding a month into Arnold’s deployment after being introduced by a fellow Marine’s spouse. Approximately 150 Marines from MWSS-371 returned to the air station after the seven-month deployment supporting the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade by constructing and maintaining airfields.
