Gunnery Sgt. Tscharner Thomson, Combat Logistics Regiment 15 motor transportation maintenance chief, reacts as Bernie, a military working dog from the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., bites him at the Barry M. Goldwater Range in Arizona, July 15, 2010. Yuma military working dog handlers trained CLR-15’s security company on how to work with and employ the dogs in a combat environment for their Afghanistan deployment in September. “This was some good training,” said Lt. Col. Mike Murchison, the incoming regiment commanding officer. “We got a little bit more than we expected.”
