A group of Marines with Marine Air Control Squadron 1 does 10 Marine Corps push-ups to simulate fatigue before they run through the obstacle course on the enhanced marksmanship program range on the Barry M. Goldwater Range located southeast of the air station Nov. 17. With tired arms, many of the Marines found it more difficult to keep their aim on target than at a standard pistol range. The EMP focuses on teaching the Marines how to deploy their weapons in combat, and on putting them in the proper mindset should they see combat.
