BACKGROUND: Reasonably necessary and lawful measures are essential to maintaining law and order and to protect installation personnel and property. Verifying the identity, criminal history, and immigration status of commercial and contractor employees is a necessary component of an effective security program. This practice contributes to the protection of installation personnel and government property.
 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION/INFORMATION:
• Picture Identification card from a state or federal agency.
• Full name
• Social Security Card
• Date of Birth
• Mailing Address
• 50 state background check (required annually) no more than 30 days prior to start date of contract
• Proof of citizenship/immigration status (birth certificates, INS forms, passports)
• Proof of employment (letter from employer)
• Approved contract and sponsorship letter from the MCAS Yuma employer/contracting office

PERMIT WILL BE DENIED FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
• Applicant on National Terrorist Watch list
• Illegally present in the United States
• False or fraudulent information on employment questionnaire
• Applicant is a registered sex offender
• Applicant has been convicted of a felony or a drug offense within the past five years
• Has been debarred from a military installation
• Anything the Installation Commander deems reasonable to ensure good order and discipline
