The newly completed east side of Murrayville, the urban portion of the Convoy Security Operations Course training evolution, sits in the Barry M. Goldwater Range southeast of the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., Feb. 22, 2010. Murrayville’s expansion increases the combat experience for squadron ground elements training for deployment by offering them more than 100 targets to shoot upon and opportunities to practice handling themselves during crossfire in an urban combat environment. Other effects simulators include amplified voices of enemy combatants and simulated improvised explosive devices.
