Marines with Yuma-based Marine Attack Squadron 311 wash an AV-8B Harrier for a weekly inspection Feb. 26, 2010, aboard the USS Essex in the South China Sea. Deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, VMA-311 recently completed Exercise Cobra Gold in Thailand, and is currently en route to the Philippines to participate in Exercise Balikatan from March 9-19, 2010. Eight Harriers and approximately 150 Marines from VMA-311 and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13 departed Yuma in early January 2010 for a seven-month deployment.::r::::n::::r::::n::
