Staff Sgt. Nicholas L. McCulloch, MV-22 Osprey crew chief, teaches members of E Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, how to load and exit the Osprey on the flight line at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., before a helicopter raid training exercise Oct. 10, 2009. For most of the Marines, the ride on the Corps' tilt-rotor aircraft was a first. Due to the Osprey's speed compared to the Corps' other cargo helicopters, the Marines flew to an urban training range in Twentynine Palms, Calif., approximately 150 miles away, in only 30-minutes. McCulloch, a 25-year-old native of Reno, Nev., is a member of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261, based in New River, N.C.
